Patterns



Back in August, I sat down and did a few experiments with pattern making. The floral at the top was done in acrylic paint in my sketchbook, the clouds were pencil drawn and colored in Photoshop, and the mountain pattern is a dissection and re-piecing of a landscape photo.

Pattern Making : Hair/Girls

I took a break from vectoring to play around with some drawing. Starting with some post-it notes (which I love dearly) and my favorite Japanese brush pen.

I was on the fence about adding in girls, but then I figured there had to be a source for all that hair. Here's the result after playing around in photoshop:




Perhaps I was a bit ambitious by starting with something so intricate. Next one will be a little more simple. Until then...

Test : Carter's

C arter's came to Ringling a few weeks ago, and with the rush of preparing for the senior show, I completely missed all on campus recruiters that came that week. A friend passed me the contact info and within a day or two I got the test.
