Sneaks : Printmaking

Here's a few prints I've done recently:

16x16 2 color linoleum print on Japan paper

12x17 woodblock print

The linoleum prints haven't been returned to me yet, and the woodblock was a test print done earlier today. The registration on the "Milk & Honey" was tough. I'd say about 6 of the 10 came out close enough or spot on. Oh, and what made those even harder was not being able to use the press. Never will I want to look at a large plastic spoon again. Either that, or I just wont use the entire 12x12 block the next time I'm forced to use a spoon to press a print.

Sketchbook : Lettering Fun

I went to a lettering lunch yesterday with some of the hand lettering artists, and here's the result:

I was inspired by Mexican loteria cards. I'm actually taking a charms making class on Thursday at Hallmark's Rice Center, and the plan is to illustrate some of the cards before then to make them into pendants. I just keep getting craftier and craftier as the weeks go by.
OH, and sculpture post soon. She's missing hands, but once that's taken care of she'll be baked, painted, and photographed.
